Me thinks that the NCAA and USC are just pretending they don't see anything wrong with what has been happening. First the whole Reggie Bush thing and now OJ Mayo seems like their investigations don't go deep enough into what is really happening.

You got to remember though, USC represents the whole Left Coast of college football. USC is the only big time show out there in that market, these days. If they are as dirty as we all know they are, the whole Left Coast will take a pounding, because USC is football for that part of the country. That would be bad for the NCAA.

That half of the country does have some up and coming programs though. None in the spot light like USC but if the NCAA lays the smack down on them it could be good for some other programs to rise, like Oregon, the Arizonas or any of the other california teams that have been flirting with getting away from mediocrity..

It seems like UCLA would be a big riser if they did lay the smack down on USC. Cause you know as soon as they did Peter Carrol would be gone. And Neuheisal would be the big man out west.
